Who Am I?

By Jackie Sue Griffin, MBA, MS

I am the mother of Devon.
I am flawed, yet beautiful.
I am fearless, yet scared.
I am a child and I am a woman.
I know how to work.
Yet, I have forgotten how to play
with reckless abandon.
I am loving, kind and generous.
Yet, I need boundaries.
For, I remain too open
like a revolving door,
or a cracked and splintered window.
I am fiercely independent.
Yet, want to understand how to share
our lives.
I accept you as you are – miraculously flawed and divinely inspired to create purpose
and meaningful expressions in a world with at times, sharp edges.
I would like to walk beside you.
You are my split-self. My difference.
My completeness. My life balance.
My forever love.❤️
